Charles Cobley was born Bedwas abt. 1859. He emigrated to Australia abt. 1897 where he worked as a gold miner in Leonora, Western Australia. Charles died 31st July 1909 Australia, at 50 years of age and was interred in Leonora Cemetery.
He married Sarah Jane Richards on 14th June 1884 in Newport, Monmouthshire. Sarah was born abt 1868 and died 17th March 1905 in Australia, at 36 years of age. Her body was interred in Leonora Cemetery, Western Australia.

Charles and Sarah Jane Richards had the following children:

Elizabeth Jane Cobley was born Bedwas 9 March 1890.

Sarah Hannah Cobley was born Bedwas 14 May 1886. She married William Hodgins 22 Dec 1903 in Australia.

Catherine (Cass) Mary Cobley was born in Bedwas on 6 June 1893. She married George Potter in Australia.

Gertrude Cobley was born Bedwas 19th November 1896.

Gwyneth Cobley was born 11th December 1901.
